شرح قاعدة would rather و would sooner بالانجليزي والعربي
في هذا الدرس سوف نتعرف على الفرق بين would rather و would sooner بالانجليزي مع الامثلة الشرح حيث ان Would rather تستخدم للحديث عن تفضيل شيء إلى آخر. و Would rather لها نوعين من التراكيب المختلفة. القاعدة الاولى same subject + base form مثل I’d rather stay at home than go out tonight مثال ثاني I’d rather not go out tonight. اما القاعدة الثانية هي different subject + past simple clause مثل I’d rather you stayed at home tonight. مثال ثاني I’d rather you didn’t go out tonight
In negative sentences with a different subject, the negative comes on the clause that follows, not on would rather:
في الجمل المنفية مع فاعل مختلف، تأتي اداة النفي على الشرط التالي من الجملة ، وليس على would rather:
I’d rather not fly. I hate planes.
لا أود أن اطير. انا أكره الطائرات.
When we want to refer to the past we use would rather + have + -ed form (perfect infinitive without to):
عندما نريد أن نشير إلى الماضي نستخدم would rather + have + -ed شكل (صيغة مصدر تام without to):
She would rather have spent the money on a holiday. (The money wasn’t spent on a holiday.)
هي تفضل أن تنفق المال في العطلة. (الأموال لم تنفق في العطلة)
I’d rather have seen it at the cinema than on DVD. (I saw the film on DVD.)
اد ان اراه في السينما من على دي في دي. (رأيت الفيلم على دي في دي).
When the subjects of the two clauses are different, we often use the past simple to talk about the present or future, and the past perfect to talk about the past:
عندما يكون فاعل الجملتين مختلفين، غالبا ما نستخدم الماضي البسيط للحديث عن الحاضر أو المستقبل، والماضي التام للحديث عن الماضي:
I would rather they did something about it instead of just talking about it. (past simple to talk about the present or future)
أود أن يفعلوا شيئا حيال ذلك بدلا من مجرد الحديث عنه. (الماضي بسيط للحديث عن الحاضر أو المستقبل)
Would you rather I wasn’t honest with you? (past simple to talk about the present or future)
هل تفضل أنني لم أكن صادق معك؟ (الماضي بسيط للحديث عن الحاضر أو المستقبل)
I’d rather you hadn’t rung me at work. (past perfect to talk about the past)
كنت أفضل اتصلت علي في العمل. (الماضي التام للحديث عن الماضي)
We can use much with would rather to make the preference stronger. In speaking, we stress much:
يمكننا استخدام much مع would rather لعمل التفضيل أقوى. في الكلام، نشدد على نطق much:
I’d much rather make a phone call than send an email.
